Publicações internacionais em enfermagem sobre cuidados paliativos

Cuidados paliativos são os cuidados prestados aos pacientes que não respondem aos tratamentos curativos. A abordagem paliativa visa í qualidade de vida do paciente e de seus familiares, proporcionando alívio da dor e dos sintomas, além de conforto psicossocial e espiritual. Objetivo: Identificar os saberes das publicações internacionais em enfermagem sobre cuidados paliativos. Métodos: Revisão integrativa da literatura realizada na base de dados do Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior. Foram incluídos 42 artigos publicados entre janeiro de 2013 e abril de 2015, na língua inglesa, e com autoria de enfermeiros. Resultados: A predominância das publicações foram no ano de 2014. O país com maior número de publicações foi os Estados Unidos. Os artigos analisados foram divididos em três categorias: Cuidados Paliativos: assistência ao paciente, qualidade de vida e tecnologias para o cuidar; Cuidados Paliativos: percepções e perspectiva da família, paciente e equipe de saúde; Cuidados Paliativos: avaliação dos serviços e comunicação paciente X profissional. Conclusão: Considera-se que este estudo contribuiu com a prática dos profissionais de enfermagem para o direcionamento dos cuidados e também para a ampliação de pesquisas futuras na área.Palavras-chave: cuidados paliativos, enfermagem oncológica, oncologia.References
