Abstract

Introduction: In 2020, Brazil recorded 560 deaths of pregnant women by COVID19; in 2021, there are already 1,156, more than double the previous year. Objective: To list the main difficulties faced by nurses in prenatal care in times of COVID-19. Methods: Integrative literature review carried out in the databases of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Database on Nursing (BDENF), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline), Web of Science and SCOPUS through the crossing of the descriptors "prenatal care”, “obstetric nursing” and “coronavirus infection”. Results: The crossing descriptors were performed and 181 articles were found. After applying the inclusion criteria and critically reading the articles, five studies answered were selected. Analyzing the world situation after COVID-19, people are no longer the same from a psychic point of view, and with pregnant women it would be no different, anguish, anxiety and depression have become more common in all social environments. In this environment, having prenatal care is essential in harm reduction. Conclusion: Therefore, there is a need for more scientific contributions with this focus, so that there are arguments in which all professionals are involved, including a single point of view aimed at alleviating the difficulties of nurses in prenatal care.
