Medidas preventivas não farmacológicas para o alívio da dor neonatal

O estudo apresenta uma revisão bibliográfica cujo objetivo foi conhecer e divulgar as medidas preventivas e não farmacológicas para o alívio da dor neonatal. Foi realizada busca de artigos científicos através das bases de dados do Medline, Scielo e Lilacs com as palavras-chave: dor; recém-nascido; alívio; não-farmacológico. A literatura revela que as medidas não farmacológicas são capazes de bloquear a transmissão nociceptiva da dor, promovendo o seu alívio e prevenção. Os analgésicos usados nas unidades de terapia intensiva neonatal para reduzir a percepção da dor são mais eficazes quando associados a estas medidas, observando-se sinais de alívio da dor em neonatos durante procedimentos dolorosos. A eficácia das medidas não farmacológicas no alívio da dor em recém-nascidos é bem documentada na literatura. No entanto, ainda não existem conclusões definitivas sobre o esquema de uso de doses específicas para algumas delas.
