Influência do alongamento estático/passivo sobre o desempenho da força

Atualmente observa-se uma restrição muito grande nas academias de musculação sobre a realização de alongamentos antes do treinamento de força (TF). Ainda não se sabe ao certo se o uso dessas atividades auxilia ou prejudica o executante em exercícios que exijam grande quantidade de força. O objetivo do estudo foi comparar a taxa do desempenho de homens treinados no exercício de supino horizontal, submetidos í realização de alongamento estático/passivo prévio ou não í realização de séries consecutivas (3 séries) com carga máxima (10 RM). Participaram deste estudo 10 homens (27 ± 3,3 anos) com experiência mínima de um ano de TF. Utilizou-se estatística descritiva para caracterizar os sujeitos e dados percentuais para determinar a queda do rendimento nas situações experimentais. Para determinar a diferença do rendimento utilizou-se o teste t de student para dados emparelhados, adotando-se uma significância de p ≤ 0,05. Verificou-se redução do desempenho da força muscular em ambas as situações experimentais, entretanto, essa perda foi maximizada na sessão que se utilizou de alongamentos precedendo o treinamento do supino reto (p < 0,05). Em valores percentuais, essa diminuição do desempenho foi estimada em 10,2% para a condição sem alongamento prévio e 27,4% para a condição com alongamento prévio entre a primeira e a última série.
