Miostatina

A descoberta da miostatina, uma proteína que limita o desenvolvimento do músculo esquelético, é de grande importância para a minimização da perda de massa muscular magra em indivíduos que possuam patologias em que a distrofia e a atrofia muscular sejam muito grandes. Estudos tentam descobrir como inibir essa proteína e os possíveis efeitos colaterais causados pela mesma. Esta revisão tem como objetivo analisar alguns dos estudos realizados e explanar sobre os pontos mais importantes a serem estudados sobre a miostatina.
