Quality of life of nursing students in a teaching institution of the Distrito Federal/DF

Introduction: Quality of life (QOL) is measured by the degree of perception of the individual in his physical, psychological, social relationship and environment. Aim: This study was to analyze the perception of the quality of life of nursing students at a private university in the Distrito Federal/DF. Methods: This is a cross-sectional, descriptive and quantitative study. Data collection was performed using a sociodemographic questionnaire and the instrument to assess quality of life entitled WHOQOL-BREF. Results: 175 students participated in the study. As a result, it was found that academics had a good quality of life. Among the domains of the QOL assessment instrument, the worst presented was Psychological, due to negative feelings, which can lead to anxiety, stress, and depression. The best domain presented was Physical, considered as good. Conclusion: It is concluded that with the results from the study they will be able to contribute to the planning of strategies to be applied, to minimize the difficulties and conflicts identified that has impact on the students' quality of life.
