Use of digital media by extension project as a health promotion resource: an experience report

Digital media and means of communication have the power to inform, misinform, transform or destroy paradigms, individual and collective precepts. Thus, the objective was to report the experience of the members of the extension project "touch yourself for life" in the development of health promotion actions, aimed at the primary prevention of breast and cervical cancer, through the use of digital media. This is an experience report lived by students who are part of the extension project “Touch for life: actions for the prevention and screening of breast and cervical cancer” during the development of activities related to health education during the pandemic period or between 2020 and 2021. Thus, it is accepted that is effective to bring safety information about breast and cervical cancer to the population, through accessible language in posts and stories, in order to help people during this scenario pandemic, instructing them correctly on these topics. Therefore, the use of digital media as a health promotion resource can contribute to increasing the population's knowledge about issues inherent to health and self-care.
