Rol profesional, valorización y reconocimiento social de las enfermeras en las Unidades de Atención Primaria: una revisión integradora

Objetivo: Identificar la producción científica sobre el papel profesional de las enfermeras en las unidades de Atención Primaria de Salud en cuanto a su valoración y reconocimiento social. Métodos: Revisión bibliográfica integradora realizada en las bases de datos Medline, Lilacs, Web of Science y EMBASE entre noviembre y diciembre de 2021. Resultados: 14 artículos conformaron la muestra final de esta revisión. Los datos fueron examinados en dos categorías temáticas: el papel de las enfermeras en la Atención Primaria de Salud; y la valoración y reconocimiento social de las enfermeras (aspectos positivos y negativos). Conclusión: Las funciones desempeñadas por las enfermeras indican su frágil autonomía. En cuanto a la valoración, las enfermeras necesitan comprometerse en la defensa de sus derechos, actuando en nombre de la profesión y de sus identidades
