Ativação neuromuscular do reto abdominal nos exercícios hundred, plank e crunch: Comparação eletromiográfica de superfície

Resumo

Introdução: O músculo reto abdominal possui entre suas funções estabilizar e fletir o tronco, existindo diversos exercícios estáticos e dinâmicos que podem condicioná-lo para o desempenho esportivo ou reabilitação. Objetivo: Comparar a ativação neuromuscular do reto abdominal entre os exercícios hundred, plank e crunch por eletromiografia de superfície. Métodos: Estudo transversal com discentes do gênero feminino de uma universidade pública, idade de 18 e 30 anos. Avaliadas durante a execução dos exercícios por eletromiografia de superfície, equipamento Miotool 400, software MiotecSuite, eletrodos unipolares de superfície posicionados bilateralmente nas porções superiores do músculo reto abdominal, considerando valores da raiz quadrada da média normalizados por pico dinâmico no exercício crunch e contração isométrica voluntária máxima no hundred e plank. Resultados: As participantes com idade em torno de 20 anos, durante a realização do exercício hundred, evidenciou diferença significante (p = 0,0146) entre a ativação dos ventres musculares do reto abdominal, revelando maior ativação no esquerdo em relação ao direito; o exercício plank foi o que revelou a maior discrepância entre os ventres musculares (p = 0,0001), expondo elevada ativação do ventre esquerdo em comparação ao direito; já o exercício crunch não evidenciou diferença significativa entre os ventres musculares (p = 0,1834), com menor ativação entre os exercícios. Conclusão: O exercício abdominal crunch se mostrou um exercício isotônico que recrutou menor número de unidades motoras, sugerindo maior efetividade ao se executar a tarefa de forma plena.
