Abordagem cinesioterapêutica na disfunção do músculo tibial posterior

Introdução: O músculo tibial posterior é responsável pelos movimentos de inversão e flexão plantar do pé. Durante a marcha executa a função de posicionamento do pé e sua acomodação. Sua disfunção acarreta um desequilíbrio muscular, alteração no comportamento do arco longitudinal medial do pé. Atualmente, esta patologia é classificada em quatro fases, com início de quadro álgico e edema que progride para rigidez e alterações estruturais. Objetivo: Este trabalho visou analisar as estratégias cinesioterapêuticas para o tratamento da disfunção do músculo tibial posterior (DMTP). Material e métodos: Esta pesquisa foi uma revisão bibliográfica que utilizou as bases de dados Lilacs, Medline e Scielo com os seguintes descritores: disfunção do tibial posterior, fisioterapia, cinesioterapia e tratamento. O período de busca abordou desde 1992 até 2012. Resultados: Os dados apontaram para uma redução dos sintomas através da utilização de órteses associada í intervenção de anti-inflamatórios. Discussão: As abordagens cinesioterapêuticas apresentam sua fundamentação em alongamentos da região posterior e fortalecimento da musculatura acometida. Conclusão: Não há um consenso na literatura sobre o programa de exercícios que apresentem resultados benéficos mais substanciais. Portanto, há uma necessidade de novos estudos sobre o tema para que possamos elucidar a real contribuição das abordagens cinesioterapêuticas no tratamento da DMTP.
