Objective: To identify and discuss findings from the literature regarding clinical trials addressing kinesiotherapy for transtibial amputees. Methods: An integrative literature review was performed. The searches took place on August 18-30, 2019 in the PEDro, Pubmed and Scielo databases. There were 145 articles, after applying the inclusion criteria, 8 were left for analysis on the PEDro methodological scale. Results: Clinical trials have prescribed therapeutic exercise protocols based on muscle strengthening, gait training, and proprioceptive functional exercise. Conclusion: Gait exercises at different speeds, muscle strengthening (affected limb and intact) and home exercises are effective in the functional recovery of amputees.
