Introduction: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is described in the literature as a progressive and irreversible loss of nephron function, such dysfunction results in the body's failure to maintain metabolic and hydroelectrolytic balance. The usual treatment indicated for CKD is hemodialysis (HD), which performs extracorporeal blood filtration without a curative nature. Individuals undergoing dialysis suffer systemic and metabolic complications with prevalence in pulmonary disorders, resulting from fluid overload and circulating uremic toxins. As a result, exercise capacity is reduced by about 50% to 60% lower than in healthy individuals, which favors the existence of comorbidities such as diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular dysfunctions that contribute even more to a sedentary lifestyle and restriction of exercise activities in daily life. Physical exercise plays an important role in the non-pharmacological treatment of CKD, reducing functional decline, risk of death and minimizing the side effects of HD. Objective: To evaluate the impacts of intradialytic physical therapy in patients with chronic kidney disease. Methods: This is a scientific literature review. The research cataloged references from the last five years. The selected articles are indexed in the main databases available for full reading: PubMed, Lilacs and Scielo. The pre-selected descriptors in English and their respective terms in Portuguese were used to refine the search and crossed for better findings. Results: A total of 58 articles were identified when the descriptors were crossed, of which two were excluded due to duplicity, at the end of the search, five articles were eligible for the preparation of this study. Due to the small number of articles and their heterogeneous characteristics, their results were presented in a descriptive way. Conclusion:
