O Core Training como programa de exercí­cios de estabilização

Resumo

Introdução: A cinesioterapia é amplamente aplicada em programas de reabilitação. O Core Training tem se destacado no tratamento de pacientes heterogêneos. Objetivo: Tendo em vista sua pluralidade, este estudo tem como objetivo responder sobre a eficácia do método, se positivo, quais suas indicações, e se há estudos suficientes para suportar sua eficiência. Material e métodos: Para reunir evidências, foi consultada a base de dados Pubmed, com palavras chaves especí­ficas e filtros. Resultados: Após levantamento e filtragem, foram selecionados 39 artigos para análise, publicados entre os anos de 2001 e 2009, sendo 24 ensaios controlados randomizados, 12 estudos de caso e 3 projetos de aplicação do método. Foi considerado como critério de exclusão os artigos de revisão, e como critério de inclusão estudos relacionados a tratamento e análise biomecânica em humanos, de acordo com a técnica. Conclusão: O Core Training é efetivo como tratamento, podendo reduzir dores e melhorar funcionalidade, especialmente sobre transtornos de coluna vertebral, devendo o aspecto preventivo ser investigado com mais estudos devido ao número ainda reduzido de evidências sobre a temática.
